NCDA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ABOUT NCDA
The Northern California Darts Association is a non-profit organization whose intentions are to promote the sport of darts, coordinate functions and activities for darts, and sanction league play according to the rules in effect as well as to establish and maintain friendly relationships with similar organizations. We have been in existence since , which makes us the longest running traditional Steel-tip dart league in the greater East-Bay Area.
LEAGUE INFORMATION:
Teams play each Monday or Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm.
Each team consists of two or more (for Mondays) or four or more (for Wednesdays) players. You may start your own team or if you are an individual shooter we can help place you on a team. A $25 membership fee is due for each player at the start of each new season. This fee entitles you to attend all NCDA functions during that season as well as enrolling you as a member of the American Darts Organization (ADO).
Teams are placed in Divisions 1 through 4 according to their abilities. There is also a Masters Division on Wednesday nights for those who are slightly more advanced players.
Locations for each match alternated between the home team sponsor and the opponents sponsor, playing each team within the division twice or more per season. The 5th week of each season will be a mandatory membership meeting and awards banquet. At this time, awards will be handed out to all first and second place teams in each division, as well as many individual awards for personal achievements throughout the season.
The NCDA also hosts many other functions throughout the course of the year that anyone is welcome to attend. These include Blind Draw shoots held every Friday night at Paddock Bowl. Entry fee is $7.00 These shoots provide a great opportunity to get acquainted with league members for the purpose of finding a team, or just as an occasional outing for those who cannot commit to a Monday or Wednesday night league.
For our younger players, NCDA offers a Youth League for shooters 17 and under. Young darters can win their way to Regional and National tournaments around the country and compete for scholarships and other prizes offered by the American Darts Organization (ADO).
We also host several Professional/Amateur tournaments throughout the year, such as the Cricket Classic, Classic Chicago, Toys For Tots, and many others.
For more information on joining a league or attending tournaments, call Bob Martell at (925) 685-2405.
